Question Your Questions
October 10, 2008 12:11 AM PDT

We have been helping our community wrestle through some questions that were submitted. Tapestry is a safe place to ask your questions and share your doubts. We believe that if you ask your questions and share your doubts in an honest way that seeks faith you will get to a point where you question your questions and doubt your doubts. Tonight, Tal leads us in our study as we ask 1. Do animals have a place in heaven, 2. Is it necessary to accept the virgin birth to be a Christian, and 3. Can people still be close to God when their minds start to diminish due to old age or disease (alzheimers / dementia)?

What Is Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?

We invited the people in our faith community to share their questions and doubts with us. We didnt promise to answer them. We just promised to help them along as we try to keep up with Jesus. Someone asked what blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is and if it is really unforgivealbe. Is it ok to blaspheme the Father and Son but not the Holy Sprit? And have you heard about this "Blasphemy Challenge"?

I Sometimes Doubt God Even Exists

The audio on this sermon is a little in and out at the beginning but it clears up at the 13 minute mark. We believe it is ok to have questions and it is ok to have doubts. We agree that if you honestly ask your questions and honestly share your doubts then you will come to a point where you question your questions and doubt your doubts. This is the first sermon in a series of sermons based on actual questions and doubts people in our community have given to us. If you have a question or doubt you would like us to address, contact us through our website (www.tapestryofhope.com).

This sermon is in our series on Matthew 5-7 (The Sermon On The Mount). The subject is forgiveness, coming out of Matthew 6:12. This sermon (adapted from EK Bailey) is a first person narrative delivered from the perspective of Hosea on how he experienced God's forgiveness and was a picture of the forgiveness that Jesus offers on the cross.
